With late-breaking news on the availability of Ian Book, Notre Dame might go into a mid-November game against Florida State with its back-up quarterback. Traditionally, that sounds like a recipe for disaster. Now? It just means the line will probably bump down to a couple touchdowns.
I wasn't fully comfortable about laying those points with a healthy Book. It felt like too much. I'm certainly less comfortable doing it with Wimbush, though I think the Irish will still have a chance to win comfortably, especially if the effort out of the Seminoles is what we all expect in a game where there could be snow falling and sub-freezing temperatures.
