The Indianapolis Colts may be the hottest team in the NFL entering divisional playoff weekend. Indy has put together a remarkable 10-1 run in their last 11 games to not only get themselves into the playoffs but also the divisional round after a dominant 21-7 win over the Houston Texans in the Wildcard round a week ago. Indianapolis is doing it with a much-improved defense and a confident QB in Andrew Luck playing behind one of the most improved offensive lines in the NFL which leads the league in fewest sacks allowed.
However, the task gets much taller for the Colts in this game as they take on the Kansas City Chiefs who earned the #1 seed in the AFC. Kansas City has an explosive offense that terrorized opposing defenses all-season long with QB Patrick Mahomes leading the way. He is without a doubt a sure fire strong MVP candidate this season. This should be an excellent QB matchup and this game is likely to be determined by which defense does a better job of bending and not breaking particularly in the red zone.
